The two sides to compliance

Part 1: Local Regulations

Products named compostable, such as bio plastics, may comply with local regulations, but that doesn’t mean that they actually get composted. Forward thinking requires truly compostable products that understand and work together with waste processing companies.

Part 2: Waste Processing

Local regulations may allow bio plastic into compost, but the trash companies do not always process it. “Compostable” bio plastic products then do not get composted and instead end up in landfill, where they are just as good as conventional plastic.
